Jennifer lets her class know she's pregnant and we get a pool!

There's been a joke going in Jennifer's class since last year that whenever someone is out sick, they are obviously pregnant (though no one has been pregnant in her class yet). Jennifer thought it would be funny to buy a shirt with an in utero baby and just wear it to school. She heard lots of whispering and "I'm not going to ask her, YOU ask her!" talk and finally they were all excited for her (and excited to have a "class mascot").

We've been checking out craigslist for baby stuff (you won't believe all the stuff we've gotten already!) and Jennifer's been looking for a cheap above ground pool. Well, we found one. Here we are playing in it for the first time. By the way, Luna likes to attack the filter return while sitting on her innertube. Enjoy the pics!

On your mark, Get Set, GO!!!

Things have been crazy around here! School got out June 12th and that night we flew to Georgia to see Jennifer's brother graduate from his orthopaedic residency and meet our nephew Evan. It was a lot of fun (though the long red-eye flights sucked!) but when we got back on that Tuesday Andy, Sarah, Theo and Penny came down to visit. We hung out with them until Thursday and then we all caravaned down to Los Angeles to see my brother, Shane get married. On Sunday we came back to San Jose and were here with the Lewis clan until Tuesday when we flew up to Washington for a week. We got to see friends and family there and participate in Shane and Jennifer's (his wife... I know two Jennifer Young's now!) reception up there and then we flew back to San Jose. We'd planned on going camping for some relaxation down at Big Sur but we heard on the news that there were fires all over in the mountains down there. We called the campground and they assured us that they were far from the fires and encouraged us to come down so on Tuesday we drove down there and set up camp. It was a really nice campground and it was really relaxing.... until the Fire Marshall showed up and informed all of us that we were on mandatory evacuation on Wednesday afternoon. We were planning to stay all week. Now we're back home and trying to get stuff done around here.... I think we're going to try and stick around here for a bit!
