Sorry it's been a while...
Lately we've been really homesick. Fall is almost over and other then the temperature dropping a few degrees it hasn't been that different than summer here. There hasn't been that crisp feeling that we get in WA when you go outside in the morning. We've only been able to fall asleep to the rain one night since we've been down here. The major difference between summer and winter is the fact that the days are getting shorter. We actually miss the rain.
Aside from all of this we're feeling a little pooped. CJ finished up his report cards and parent/teacher conferences yesterday and Jennifer is finally done with her midterms. Next week we're taking off and heading down to Monterey Bay. We're staying there for the week of Thanksgiving. Hopefully it'll give us some much needed rest and CJ is really excited- being a huge Steinbeck fan. We'll post some pictures when we get back.

Trunk or Treat
For Halloween our church had it's first "Trunk or Treat". Essentially you decorated your car in some theme and then passed out candy to kids who came by. We decided to go with a Pirate theme. It was awesome! Shane drew all the pictures and we all put it together. It was probably the best there. We had pirate music playing, a fishing game to get candy and our car was complete with a mast, 2 cannons, a treasure chest, powder kegs, a jolly roger, and a plank. It turned out really good! We had a lot of fun! There was a really good turn out- we've got some good ideas to take back to MCC!
Oh, Jennifer has 4 of her 9 midterms done and she's gotten A's on all of them so far! Let's keep the prayers comin'!
